Whether capturing the swing of a golf club, the glow of a city at dusk, or the soul in someone’s eyes — Joshua Stewart’s work invites you to feel something deeper.
Joshua Stewart is a painter, comic artist, musician, and filmmaker whose work brings bold emotion to the canvas. His fine art combines vibrant brushwork, timeless subjects, and a deep sense of storytelling — whether it’s a portrait, a jazz legend, or a couple lost in a moment.
A self-taught artist working in oil and acrylic, Joshua began drawing as a child, eventually publishing the cult-classic pulp graphic novel Leo Derek: In the Heart of Danger in 1984. His work continues to defy genre and expectation.
Outside the studio, Joshua is also a professional jazz pianist and singer, performing regularly at corporate events and private shows — and his piano work is featured on albums by funk/jazz artist Isaiah Stewart.
Today, he creates custom paintings, original works, and commissioned portraits from his studio — each one hand-painted with soul, skill, and a touch of cinematic flair.
Have a memory in mind? Let’s turn it into a masterpiece.
Joshua Stewart accepts a limited number of commissions each season — from portraits and pets to places, musicians, icons, or cinematic scenes. Whether you’re looking for something deeply personal or powerfully cool, he’ll work with you to bring it to life.
